Create a MiPLUS Account ▾Register for an account on the Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS) portal to begin the application process.

Submit Application and Pay Fee ▾Complete the online application for Respiratory Therapist licensure and pay the non-refundable fee of $102.70 via credit or debit card.

Complete Criminal Background Check ▾After submitting your application, you will receive an Application Confirmation letter with a Customer ID. Use this ID to schedule fingerprinting through IdentoGO. Do not get fingerprinted before receiving this ID.

Submit Official Transcripts ▾Arrange for your educational institution to send official transcripts directly to the Bureau of Professional Licensing. Transcripts must show a minimum of a 2-year associate's degree and completion of a CoARC-accredited RT program.

Verify NBRC Credentials ▾Request the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) to send an official credential verification report directly to the Michigan Board.
