How to Apply

Complete an Approved Training Program ▾Successfully complete an Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) approved Nurse Aide Training Program.

Obtain Exam Application ▾Download the Indiana Nurse Aide Candidate Handbook and the Nurse Aide Competency Examination application form from the Prometric Indiana Nurse Aide Testing website.

Schedule Your Examination ▾Once your application is processed by Prometric, schedule your Nurse Aide Competency Examination. The exam consists of two parts: a written (or oral) portion and a skills portion.

Pass the Competency Examination ▾Successfully pass both the written (or oral) and skills portions of the Indiana Nurse Aide Competency Examination administered by Prometric.

Be Added to the Registry ▾Upon successful completion of both exam parts, Prometric will automatically add your name to the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry, certifying you as a CNA in Indiana.
