Provisional Practice & Reciprocity

Provisional Rules
Georgia offers a provisional permit for applicants who have completed all academic and supervised practice requirements and are eligible for but have not yet passed the CDR examination. The permit costs an additional $25, is valid for one year, and requires practice under the direct supervision of a Georgia-licensed dietitian. The Board may renew it at its discretion.
Reciprocity & Endorsement
Georgia offers licensure by endorsement for dietitians holding a valid, active, and unencumbered license in another state, provided that state's requirements are substantially equal to or greater than Georgia's. Applicants must submit their application, fee, verification of the out-of-state license sent directly from the issuing board, and proof of passing the CDR exam.
