Complete an Approved Nurse Aide Training Program

Successfully complete a Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) approved by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH).
Register for the Competency Evaluation Examination

Register for the Georgia Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Examination through the approved testing vendor, Prometric. You can find information and register at www.prometric.com/nurseaide/ga.
Pass the Competency Evaluation Examination
▾
Successfully pass both the written/oral and skills portions of the examination administered by Prometric.
Automatic Listing on Registry
▾
Upon successful completion of both parts of the exam, Prometric will automatically submit your information for listing on the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry. You do not typically submit a separate application after passing the exam.
Verify Registry Listing

Access the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry Portal to confirm your active status on the registry. Your name should appear within a few business days after passing the exam.
